Need based Scholarships
Most of the students may not be able to afford to bear the expensive fees which is required to pursue education in some colleges. These students may not have the merit to get into colleges based on merit scholarships. Their scores in SAT and other such standard tests, which are used to determine the scholarships, may not be up to the mark with the toppers. They may not come from families who can afford the expensive fees and spare that much of money. Such students find going to universities a very hard task. To compensate this and for the students to pursue their education scholarships based on the financial status are available for them to pursue their education .If the scholarship is a federal scholarship which is applicable to most of the Americans based on their financial needs then the student need to fill up a form which is called the FAFSA form . FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This calculates the financial need of the student based on a formula that determines the required amount based on how much the family can contribute and also the amount of fees required to pursue the education in the intended college by the student.
